Simple Snapshops scrapbook page - baby's first cheerios

I took these photos a while ago and finally found a layout that I liked that suited them.  Abigail is a cheerio monster and just loves eating them up (and feeding them to me) but it took her quite a while to figure out how to actually get them into her mouth.  These photos were taken when she succeeded!  Now, she's a pro.

Papers: all of the papers on this layout are from the "Simple Snapshots" cd
Embellishments: All are from the "Simple snapshots" cd

Scrapbook layout with earthy green tones & the "Leaves of a Tree" stamp

The wintergreen designer papers make great earth tones!
Leaves of a Tree $4.95
This was a fun layout to make.  I am in love with the "Leaves of a Tree" stamp - I think that it's awesome and versatile and I'll be using it a lot!   On this layout I used the main stamp in white, but I set the opacity to 80% because I found it to be too bright when I left it at 100%.  I placed a 100% white bird in front of it and I love the way it just pops off the page.  All of the designer papers from this layout are from the "Wintergreen" designer papers and the tags are all from the "Limited Edition" embellishments.

Guess what I did today?

Scrapbook layout using "2011 Notable Desktop" designer papers
Well, not much honestly.  Abigail is sick, Rachel is sick, Jamie is sick, and yep, I'm sick.  There's something going around at work, at the kid's daycare and I knew that it was just a matter of time before we got it.  I haaaa-aaa-aaate being sick.  But, I did get a lot of time on the couch under a blanket today - so I snuggled up with some movies, cheesy soap operas, and ate lots of soup.  That, and I became reacquainted with my laptop.  I managed to get a ton of my Project 365 photos into scrapbook layouts (Yes, I'm still taking photos daily, just got behind scrapping them).

Jamie was the sweetest and bought me a beautiful and huge bouquet of red roses, stargazer lillies and carnations.  I've never seen anything like it - he went all out and I love it.  Oh how I wish I could smell it.  I hope that you all had a wonderful Valentine's Day!

Double layout using the "Love Letters" designer papers

I had to snap a bunch of photos of Rachie in her Valentine dress since she was in a mood to pose for the camera.  Four years olds can be so unpredictable sometimes!  I love the layout of this spread and think it will be fantastic when I print it.  I just got my 5th album back this week and love it - it was the album for October, November and December 2011.  I plan to have another one printed at the end of March which will have all of my layouts from Jan, Feb and March 2012.  I am aiming to do one for each season of the year.  Some of the albums I've printed have 150 pages and others have 30 - if just depends on how many photos I took that season and whether I was able to scrap them.  I think that if I just set the goal of printing an album each season it will motivate me to keep on top of my scrapping.

Something fun I like to do with Digital Scrapping

Don't you just love that layout?  Something fun that I like to do with digital scrapbooking is to google search awesome scrapbook pages and completely copy them.  It's such an easy way to scrapbook.... and I can change it up to fit my photos.  This was a layout that I copied and it took about 6 minutes to do.  If I was traditional scrapping I bet that it would have taken that long just to die cut the letters.

Recipe for this layout:
Papers: Piece of Cake CD, Twitterpated kit
Stamps: Kindred Spirits
Accessories: Cherry Cobbler designer brads, stitching
Punches: Timeless Type Junior alphabet, Hugs & Kisses punch

MDS Blog hop - designer templates and the smitten alphabet

Welcome to our Designer Template My Digital Studio Blog Hop!  I stumbled upon the template below when I was looking for 8x8 templates that I could convert to 12x12 for my next book.  I only changed the small print text and then inserted a photo - I love how pretty this pre-made template is.  This template is included when you purchase the "smitten alphabet" punches.

This next template comes from the "Twitterpated" kit.  I love it too.  Now, I just have to figure out which of these I will use for my album.  I love the photos a lot, but I just don't know which layouts to choose to print.

Number One kit $12.50
Welcome to our Valentine's Day My Digital Studio Blog Hop!  Now, I made this layout a few days ago just because I had it in my head but I kept tweeking it for days.  It was just one of those layouts I was stuck on.  The thing that I needed to put on to finish it - the key.  And honestly, I'm thinking of getting rid of it but I like the shape and direction of the image so it will stay for now.  Enough rambling.  I snapped these photos of my girls early this morning.  I love having Friday mornings off so I can play with them before I head in to work.  I knew that whatever photos I took this morning would work with the layout because they would be converted to Sepia Tone anyways... but for real, can these two beautiful girls be any more photogenic?  My gosh!  I just love them to bits!

MDS Blog hop - wintery fun

Welcome to our 2012 My Digital Studio Blog Hop!  Our theme this week was to make something with the theme winter fun. Now, I'll be honest, I just didn't have time because I've been so busy working on finishing up my Christmas Album because I want to send it to the printer's this week.  So I've decided to show off a Christmas page instead. When I send off albums to the printers, I will include most of the layouts you see on my blog but because I take SO MANY photos at big events, I will often include pages like this one that have large amounts of photos on them yet simpler embellishments on them - more bang for the buck at the printers, really.

MDS Blog hop - a fantastic sketch was our inspiration!

Mandy challenged us to do a sketch this week for the MDS blog hop.  I was so massively excited to see the sketch, from one of my favourite sketch websites (www.pagemaps.com).  If you want to see the sketch click here.  It's the 4th sketch from the top.

When I saw the sketch I immediately saw laundry hanging on a line... and I knew that I had some photos that would fit in perfectly with that theme... so here's my layout that looks relatively nothing like the sketch, but pulls a lot of inspiration from it.  Abigail was only 6 weeks old here - it's so hard to believe that this is the same little peanut that is learning to clap her hands, climb stairs and is attempting to walk.  Oh man, where did this year go?

Scrapbook Project 365. Games night

Games night layout using "Big Top Birthday" papers and embellishments
We had games night with Rachel, and after she lost interest Jamie and I decided to have a serious competition on the Trouble board.  This was his game face - hilarious!

Project 365 for the MDS blog hop - fun new MDS download

My Cute Valentine $3.95
Welcome to our 2012 My Digital Studio Blog Hop!  Our theme this week was to make something with a new MDS download.  It's the same theme as last Friday and I'm using the same download that I did last week because I adore it!  The download is called "My cute valentine" which has some cute embellishments and some cute stamps.  I have the morning off so I was able to snap these photos of Abigail.  She's getting so quick!

Here's today's layout - it uses designer paper from the "Pocketful of Posies" set and many of the heart stamps from the "My cute valentine" download:
My baby is crawling all over the place!
