Scrapbooking Tip: conserving your DS papers

Okay -on today's posted layout I had a rather large piece of DS paper as a matte behind a large 7x10 photo. Normally this would leave quite a lot of DS paper unused behind the picture. The paper is so pretty and it's just such a shame to let it sit there unused.

So normally what I'll do is cut out a chunk from below the photo. It's so thin that you don't notice it missing (no ridges on the picture). Also - whats great for keeping this large scrap around is that you can use it elsewhere on the layout or on a card or a 3D project. I used a portion of it to cut out the title for the layout.
