Recent card at our monthly club

I made this little card for our last card club meeting, on Thursday evening. It's sad that it was our last official meeting... but I am really looking forward to our Potluck in two weeks!
The heart and the yellow shading were done with pastels. I typically use q-tips for my applicators because then I can just toss them and don't have dusty instruments laying around.

Recipe:
Card stock: Real Red card base, Close to cocoa, Pretty in pink, Whisper White.
Designer Series Papers: Georgia Peach
Stamps: Happy Heart Day
Accessories: a bunch of markers and Real Red ribbon.
Funny story time. Rachel got a beautiful rocking horse for Christmas and has since been terrified of it. Apparently it sits in the living room and bugs her all day. Four days ago we finally got her to be comfortable on it. She's so small that she doesn't even touch the ground.

Well, today she wanted to climb all over it and finally started rocking on it - well it didn't take long before she could really get herself kicking well... remember she can't reach the ground? Well, guess who got bucked off a rocking horse? Poor thing... I thought she was going to cry - but then she whacked the horse's ass. I just roared - how funny is that?

aww how sweet - my girls got a doll that laughed for christmas and magen reacted to it much like rachel did to her horse...she now *loves* it, cant go to sleep without it. but duane took the voice box out so it wouldn't wake the twins while they're sleeping -hehe
cheers,
